The French Revolution- Parizaade

 The French Revolution

In the eighteenth century, France was the most civilized, civilized and developed country in the world. Civilization and ethics, education, human rights, politics, so that his eminent thinkers and writers on every subject expressed their views without being wrapped up. Because the general idea was that political reform would make everything right. Therefore, when the revolution took place, its social, moral and human aspects disappeared and the eyes were focused on the political activists and the king, queen, royal family, princes and all those persons in front of the link cell for thoughts and feelings. And institutions that dealt with or mirrored political life were crushed. When the cell ceased to be light and Paris was informed, a person appeared on the horizon who called himself the Man of Destiny. He had no interest in the trends or ideologies of the French Revolution.

The French Revolution (1789-1794) is generally thought to have been caused by economic hardship, but Carlyle and other historians do not agree that the financial condition of the French people is different from that of other countries. There was nothing wrong with the residents.

There is no denying that the French government emptied its coffers by supporting the United States in the War of Independence. Similarly, the idea that the revolution took place because King Louis XIV of France did not want his country and his subjects is absolutely wrong. The fact is that he was a better ruler than Louis XV. According to historians, the people thought that under Louis I, France would again have the terror that it had during the reign of Louis XIV.

But their hopes for the future soon turned to despair. Louis and his government were unable to resolve the treasury bankruptcy. On the contrary, the American War of Independence made France's financial situation even worse. Another effect of this war was that the French soldiers who had returned from the United States introduced the ideas of democracy, equality, etc. to the rural class.

The urban class was already acquainted with these ideas thanks to writers and thinkers such as Rousseau and Walter, so it was not unnatural for a movement in favor of a responsible government to emerge in 1787. Thus, when Louis convened a meeting of the Estates Journal on May 5, 1789, to fill the public coffers with new taxes, members of parliament, instead of resolving urgent and urgently needed financial problems, set up ideological debates and called for a responsible government.

Began to demand the establishment of. On June 24, 1789, the parliament declared itself the Constituent Assembly (National Assembly) and took over the task of creating the country's constitution. For the next two years, until June 7, 1791, they were embroiled in debates that had nothing to do with current or future suffering. At the same time, the incident of July 14, 1789, in which the people of Paris demolished the prison of Bastille.

The destruction of the Bastille frightened the influential class of Paris and they established their own government without the permission of the king. When the news of the formation of his government reached the ears of the rural class, they also learned that the Bastille had been demolished. So respect for the law rose from their hearts. And they revolted on August 4, 1789.

Political leaders promised to give the peasants the privileges they had refused to give them before the uprising. Thus the Assembly created a political storm in the form of a constitution. Its waters have now passed through their own heads and with the political revolution came the economic, social, and religious revolution. The revolutionary advisers of the National Assembly, especially the king's brothers and the queen, persuaded the king to flee the country.

The king and queen were captured and brought back to Paris. This incident 20. Occurred June 25, 1791. Louis's arrest caused a sensation across the country, and the government of the day was overthrown. The king remained in custody until September 1791. The new constitution was then enacted and the king was reinstated. The courtiers were concerned about the future of the country and the king's life.

What could have happened? They conspired with foreign countries but nothing happened. On June 20 and August 10, 1792, the people attacked the royal palace. And demanded the arrest of the king and queen. The king and queen were again taken, prisoner.

On January 21, 1793, the King of France was executed. On October 16, 1793, the Queen of France was also sentenced to death after a public trial. On November 10, 1793, a law was passed against the worship of God. In France, meanwhile, no one's neck was safe. 1793 Between 1794, thousands were killed. On June 8, 1795, the Crown Prince of France was assassinated. Finally, in May 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte came to power and a new chapter in French history began.
